1. Hello, today we have invited Jarindr, the founder of GuildFi. GuildFi has recently upgraded its brand to Zentry, as I think everyone knows. So first of all, please introduce yourself and share your past experience in the crypto field.

Hello, Im Jar, the founder of Guildfi, which has recently been upgraded to Zentry. I have an engineering background, and my first job was in the crypto field. I previously focused on the design of crypto expansion solutions, such as the Plasma protocol, which is basically based on the technical level of Layer. I have been working in the crypto industry for about 10 years. Most people probably havent heard of the Plasma protocol, but if youve been in the crypto field long enough, you should know that Plasma can be seen as the OG player of Layer 2. In general, I was mainly involved in some technical work before, such as L2, NFT, games, etc. After years of deep cultivation in the industry, more than two years ago, I started to work on the field I really love – web3 games, starting with the game guild, which is also a familiar product to everyone, and successfully raised 140 million US dollars at that time.

2. Thank you very much for sharing. You should have your own insights and opinions on how a product can attract users and cater to market demand. Continuously attracting users is the core competitiveness of the product. However, we can see from the previous cycles that a huge challenge we face is the significance of blockchain games. I would like to talk to you about why you did not start a business in the traditional game industry, but chose to create a game project in the web3 field?

To be honest, my views on blockchain games have been changing. We saw that three years ago, everyone was creating new things in the web3 game field, and everyone was very excited. In our past work experience, we have seen a large number of different designs for game models, all of which have tried to integrate blockchain and games, both in terms of profitability and the technical level of blockchain itself.

So what can blockchain bring to games? At first, everyone discussed that relying on the underlying blockchain technology, game assets can be transferred at will, for example, my sword can be transferred from one game to another, but in fact there is a lot of wear and tear, it is not as simple as directly using API integration. In my opinion, the biggest change brought by blockchain is the enhancement of transparency, which will greatly enhance the users gaming experience. Here we will not discuss on-chain games, but only discuss the changes that the transparency and verifiability of blockchain can bring to traditional games. You dont need to know who owns the assets, but you can see the number of assets at a glance.

This would be a good starting point for attracting web2 users, rather than promoting empty theories such as blockchain is the future of finance, because most users will only focus on the game itself.

3. From the users perspective, does your project have a seamless design in the product? Can users clearly know whether they are on the chain or off the chain?

Zentrys product design starting point, like many other game products, is to achieve a web2.5 level, that is, to attract traditional game users while not losing web3.0 users. This original intention actually leads to a very strange scenario design, because in fact you cant be comprehensive. You want to attract web2.0 users, so you need to hide some web3.0 elements as much as possible. You want to attract web3.0 users, but they just want to play games anonymously, so you can see that the products in this track are either mainly for web2.0 or web3.0.

Zentrys products are relatively diverse, targeting different consumer user groups. For example, Radiant is mainly aimed at web2.0 users, creating a seamless experience where they can obtain NFTs, but they may not even realize that they own NFTs.

Nexus is a product focusing on web3.0.

Over the past two years or so, we have seen a large number of game studios trying to move closer to web2.5 but ultimately failing.

4. We have just discussed some challenges facing blockchain. Now we can talk more about the GuildFi product itself. I saw in the project introduction that the idea of GuildFi came from Axie. I personally think that the name GuildFi is very clever. Now I am more interested in how your product will evolve after GuildFi is upgraded to Zentry, and what kind of product do you want to create in your mind as a founder?

I totally agree. Our project started from the guild. GuildFi is a great name, especially its abbreviation is GF. While our products are evolving, the basic concept is highly relevant. As our vision becomes bigger, the original name is no longer suitable for the new narrative. Our current products are still based on communities and games. The biggest challenge we face when doing GuildFi, like all blockchain games, is that when a user plays a game, his first intention is to earn rewards, not just to play games, which will change a lot of things. They will no longer pay attention to whether the game itself is fun, and how the game itself interacts with users will no longer be so important.

Despite this, we still believe that reward incentives are a very important pillar of game products. We can see examples of reward incentives in all aspects of daily life, and no one can deny this. In the design of the reward mechanism, Zentry will be different.

5. I totally agree with your idea that when rewards become the first priority, the game itself is no longer important. I admire your teams persistence in focusing on high-quality games. In addition, can you share with us Zentrys vision for the next 1, 5, or 10 years? Because I know that now is just a new starting point.

Zentrys vision is to create a world-class game – a game of games. If you are familiar with games, you should be familiar with the concept of Metagame. Zentry creates a layer on top of many games – Play Economy. In the Zentry ecosystem, the concept of games is not just a game in our mind. Going to the gym or buying a cup of coffee can all become a game. At first glance, this is a bit like Play 2 Earn, but it is actually different. The difference is that we do not regard rewards as the top priority, but the IP itself of the immersive experience as the first priority.
For example, if you lose an item, it may not be transferable or worthless, but in Zentry you can use it to create something new, such as a new skin for another game or an improved profile page. This concept sounds simple, but it will greatly change the way people think about playing games.

Zentry wants to face two major problems in the game industry, the first is distribution, and the second is profitability. We no longer use rewards to stimulate users to play games. We want users to do as much as possible what they love. For example, when users are slacking off, Zentry may remind users that there are 2 times the points reward or new super cool avatar rewards today to guide users to play games. This sounds unimaginative, but think about it, if these reward mechanisms can help game publishers increase user retention by 5%, or persuade users to buy 2% more game products, thats another matter.

Ill stop here. This is actually a very simple concept. Let me see if you have any questions.

6. Whether it is a game developer, a game công ty or an agreement, they can all come to Zentry to settle down and create. Is this how I understand Zentry?

I would not say that they will come to Zentry to settle in, I prefer to describe it as Zentry will build an additional layer on top of them. This layer will become part of their product and make the experience better. For example, a user is playing Dota, which itself does not bring him any rewards, but if the user is also on Zentry, maybe Zentry will give him a loot box, which will provide a ticket, for example, telling the user that if you play the next game of Dota today, Zentry will provide you with some resources, which may be used to create new items such as food later.

Therefore, Zentry and this game are not simply integrated, but provide an additional layer, thus providing an additional experience.

7. Is GuildFi already on the mainnet? Are you going to use Omnichain, L0 or something else?

We are currently deploying on the Ethereum chain. I can’t say which model to use, but the so-called “full chain” is indeed very important for our game project. After all, Metagame includes everything, such as the transfer or cross-chain of tokens or NFT assets. I would rather say that in the future I hope to expand the Zentry universe to multiple chains, rather than simply saying from chain A to chain B to chain C.

We will launch new products and new experiences every quarter, and release some trailers and short films to match them.

8. How will you attract users? Will you prefer the traditional marketing model of web2 or some methods of attracting users in the web3 field?

In fact, the Play Economy we created can successfully guide the two user groups of web2.0 and web3.0 to interact with each other spontaneously. For example, if a user needs to forge a sword, he needs two resources, one in the web2.0 game and the other in the web3.0 game. These two groups need to have some kind of connection or interaction to achieve this goal. This can also be understood as the role that Zentry will play in it.

9. You mentioned several Zentry products before, including Nexus, Radiant and two other products. Can you briefly introduce them to us?

Radiant is our meta-game product. Whether you are playing web2.0 games or web3.0 games, you can enter the meta-game through Radiant. For example, if you play League of Legends, you can get a loot box through Radiant. When you open the box, you may get a game discount coupon for the next game purchase. Radiant will bring higher user stickiness to game publishers. It is not a task platform, but more like you are playing Radiant while playing a game.

Nexus is a social portal product that is mainly aimed at web3.0 users. It is a product that gamifies social interactions. We know that Twitter is the base of web3.0, and social interactions happen all the time. Nexus will provide a platform for these content creation and social interactions, and give shards as rewards. Content creation can be about Zentry or other projects, there is no limit.

With Nexus, we can track what people are talking about on Twitter right now about Zentry, and we can filter out high-quality and low-quality content. If you just interact randomly with a farming mentality and the quality of the content you publish is not up to standard, then you will not get much reward for it, because this evaluation system puts the quality of content first, not the quantity. All users need to do is sign up for Nexus, and the system will automatically generate their credit points.

More features are still under phát triển in the future, such as voting.

Zigma is aimed at NFT collectors, while Azul is a product with AI attributes.

10. I looked at Zentrys website, its very cool and attractive. I also admire your teams vision and persistence. Next we have to see how the market will react to this track, because you know that people dont have a general impression of P2E now, but I believe your product will be liked by the market, especially by game enthusiasts. I will try your social product and give you feedback.

The most interesting thing about Zentry is that all its components are interconnected. For example, the fragments you harvest on Nexus can be used in Radiant in the future. In the world of Play Economy, everyone, including game users, investors, miners, and NFT enthusiasts, has their own role, their own work, and their own passion, just like in the real world. It will be a very immersive experience.

11. Before we end our conversation, I would like to ask what role does the ZENT token play in the entire Zentry?

Our team has actually always been profitable through various investments and treasury management. After upgrading to Zentry, we will pass on part of the profits to token holders in various ways, not just through simple repurchase and destruction. As a user or investor, the higher the contribution and immersion in Zentry, the higher the value created, the higher the feedback will be.

To give a specific example, if a game publisher increases its profit by 5% through Zentry, part of this profit will flow back to token holders or contributors through various gamified channels.

Zentry will also serve as the universal token for all our products, and more capabilities will be launched in the future.

I am sure that your team has had a lot of fun working on this project, which is beyond most of the web3.0 projects I have seen before. I am very confident about its future prospects. Thank you very much for your time today. It was a very pleasant conversation. I look forward to the next time!

They never complete more than 1% of their roadmap, usually hyped up by opinion leaders (KOLs).
