Skate announced the launch of its first stateless application, which allows users to seamlessly interact between more than 20 chains. The user experience is similar to that of a single application with a unified state. It aims to change the traditional, isolated application model and eliminate the problem of application fragmentation.
The paradigm shift of Web3 applications
Traditionally, Web3 applications usually adopt a monolithic structure and run on a single blockchain. Successful applications are forked to other chains, resulting in multiple isolated states. Skates stateless application model will change this approach, allowing applications to maintain a unified state in EVM and non-EVM blockchain environments. Just like traditional devices, users can run the same application on 安卓 phones, iPhones, and laptop browsers. Skate is bringing this concept to Web3.
Introducing Skateboard Workshop
The first pilot stateless application is a Skateboard Workshop, where users can assemble their own skateboards on more than 20 chains. The access link is: https://park.skatechain.org/en/nft
Users can create unique skateboard NFTs by collecting three basic parts: skateboard frame, wheels, and deck. These parts can be minted on all supported chains, demonstrating the stateless nature of the application. After collecting all the parts, users can create an NFT on the chain where the deck was minted.
Stateless applications involve two main user interactions:
-
Casting components: users express their intent to cast one of the skateboard parts and receive a random part.
-
Assembling the Skateboard: After collecting all three parts, the user can assemble the complete skateboard.
Each completed skateboard will also earn users 250 Ollies. Users must complete the Galxe quest ( https://app.galxe.com/quest/Skate/GChsetvwYa) before getting Ollies.
Skate will conduct a Sybil review, and if it fails the Sybil review, the users Ollies will be deducted.
Stateless Application Roadmap
The vision for stateless applications is to run across all EVM and non-EVM chains, and we will be rolling out this pilot in three phases:
-
Phase 1: Integration with 20+ EVM compatible chains. (Completed)
-
Phase 2: Expansion to TON.
-
Phase 3: Expanding to Solana and Eclipse.
The Stake team is excited about the launch of stateless applications . “This represents a fundamental shift in how applications operate in an increasingly fragmented blockchain world. We invite developers and users to join this exciting journey and push the limits of blockchain technology. We will also continue to expand and enhance the stateless application experience, bringing more features to the ecosystem and supporting more chains, so stay tuned.”
