Hackathon Overview

Request Network – Summer Hackathon ended in the summer of 2024, attracting 144 developers and reviewing 32 projects. The event was hosted by Request Network and focused on developing Web3 financial applications using its EVM-compatible infrastructure. During the Hackathon, participants had the opportunity to participate in workshops tailored for beginners and advanced users. These workshops were designed to improve skills in developing invoicing, payment, accounting, and lending applications.

Incentives include a total prize pool of $15,000 divided into prize categories such as invoicing, payment, accounting, and lending applications. In addition, the Request Network Foundation is offering an additional $35,000 for projects submitted to its grant program. Judging criteria emphasize practicality, ease of use, technical complexity, and innovation.

Participants have access to a wealth of resources such as video tutorials, GitHub code repositories, and support through a dedicated Discord hotline. The Hackathon emphasized active participation and promoted the creation of applications designed to enhance blockchain transaction capabilities. On July 8, 2024, the winning projects were announced, showcasing the creativity and technical expertise of the participants.

Invoicing Prize Winners

• ChainPay – This project extends the functionality of Request Network to Web3 payment components by integrating with QuickBooks. It solves the smart contract call problem on Sepolia Testnet and aims to provide a comprehensive solution.

• PiperPay – An invoice and payment management system that supports multiple currencies and tokens. It follows the Request Network standard through smart contract proxy and token exchange.

• Wavein – This project provides real-time payments to freelancers through Request Network and Superfluid, providing a streamlined payment flow with conversion capabilities.

Accounting Prize Winner

• request-accounting – A blockchain-based accounting application that ensures secure transactions while integrating efficient financial management consistent with industry standards.

Lending Prize Winners

• Invoice Lending (Factoring) – This project provides liquidity by minting invoices as NFTs, allowing peer-to-peer invoice financing on the Request Network.

• Invisy Network – A decentralized invoicing platform that leverages NFTs to improve efficiency and transparency, providing a thương trường for real-time invoice liquidity.
