Hackathon Summary

The YQuantum 2024 Hackathon was successfully concluded, attracting a large number of participants and numerous project submissions, and was recognized as a vibrant innovation platform. Participants were motivated to develop breakthrough quantum computing solutions, with prizes including Quantum Cloud credits, internships, networking opportunities, and potential speaking opportunities. The Grand Prize recognized an outstanding project, with the winner receiving $2,000, the opportunity to present before Yale researchers, and participation in the Yale Innovation Summit.

The Hackathon successfully fostered a collaborative environment that encouraged the exploration of cutting-edge technologies and ideas, advancing the field of quantum computing. The inaugural YQuantum event, held on April 13, 2024, attracted 300 participants from 10 countries, featuring six industry-sponsored challenges and competing in a range of prestigious prizes.

1 st Place: Quantum Consortium: Case-Duke-Lehigh-Vandy Nexus

This project uses adiabatic methods to prepare antiferromagnetic energy eigenstates with a focus on quantum many-body scar states and error correction in enhanced computing.

2nd Place: Sparse Quantum State Preparation

The team used Classiq鈥檚 API to develop efficient algorithms for sparse quantum state preparation, optimizing scalability and efficient execution in quantum data management.

3rd Place: QuBruin

The project uses dynamic quantum circuit optimization algorithms and enhanced error correction. The team improved circuit performance under noisy conditions and improved user accessibility through a Qiskit-based model.

This program explores fundamental linear algebra concepts, emphasizing mastery of core principles.

3D Quantum Scars on 2D Tweezer Arrays
