On August 13-14, local time, the annual Blockchain Futurist Conference, Canadas largest Web3 event, was held in Toronto. WEEX Exchange attended the conference as one of the sponsors. Andrew: Hello everyone, I am Andrew Weiner, Vice President of WEEX Global. Some of you may not be familiar with the name WEEX. We started building this product overseas in 2018 and entered the market in 2020. Today, we have more than 3 million traders in nearly 100 countries and regions around the world.

With over 700 exchanges in the market today, you may ask, why WEEX, why now, why here?

There are still a lot of barriers facing traders and users in this space. If there are any traders in this room, you probably have 3-5 or even 6 accounts on multiple exchanges to really access everything that is useful to you in the industry. You may have barriers in registration, barriers in deposit options, barriers in selection, barriers in available services, and barriers in educational resources on how to use these products.

WEEX aims to be the Swiss Army Knife that breaks down all these barriers, providing users with all the features through a single login. This is so urgent for the types of projects and services that are innovating in the industry, alternative assets, DeFi projects, GameFi, NFTs, Web3, and even AI, all need a reliable home where users can get an end-to-end experience with less friction.

So, the projects I want to introduce to you today are WXT and WEEXs Launchpool. One year ago today, in Toronto, they launched the Shibarium blockchain L2, like Matic, Base Chain. Shibarium is looking to gain a major market share of L2 traders, how do they do it? What they need most is TVL, they need transaction volume on the chain, how to get this? This is where K 9 finance comes in.

For those of you who are familiar with Lido Finance, it is the leading liquid staking derivative on Ethereum, which has greatly increased Ethereums trading volume. This is what we want to do for Shibarium, allowing people to lock up the chains Gas tokens and earn from it, while increasing Shibariums TVL and trading volume. Calvin: First of all, I want to talk about why we decided to list on WEEX. We have been committed to finding a global audience for our tokens, hoping to fully include the global market, and WEEX is such a portal to showcase our tokens to an excellent global audience. A quick note on what we did with Rain Coin. Rain Coin started as an experiment and has become an interesting economic construct as we explore how to create a token that acts as a store of value. We minted 1 million RAIN tokens and locked them all in a liquidity pool so that there is no team, no controlling wallet, no foundation, nothing to put selling pressure on the token.

We then added a 1% redistribution share to the smart contract, which means that 1% of any tokens circulating on our blockchain network will be redistributed to holders. This way, holders are incentivized to buy and hold because they are actually earning cash flow or interest on their assets.

So, we created a scarce digital asset with no internal selling pressure from the team, token unlocking, or anything like that. And it generates yield even in cold storage. Now, to push it to the next level, were really adding some gamification. Our community is growing, and everyone is very interested in creating some additional value for themselves by staking Rain Coin.
